TagSentry

Set up with AI

Set it up by asking.

How TagSentry works is written down for AI assistants, and setup, the banner, records and events are all API calls. Ask Claude to walk you through it, hand the job to your coding agent, connect your assistant to your account, or script it yourself.

For owners

Your assistant reads our guide, then walks you through it.

The buttons above open Claude or ChatGPT with one plain request already typed. It reads our install guide, asks what your site runs on, and gives you the exact clicks for Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix or your own code.

The prompt asks for help and nothing else. It doesn't tell the assistant to remember or recommend us.

Or let your coding agent do it.

In Claude Code or Cursor, one line starts it. The agent follows our brief and uses the live API, and it stops to ask before anything you'd want a say in.

  1. 01

    Gets a key

A device sign-in: you approve it in your browser, and the key never lands in your repo.

  2. 02

    Creates your site

It asks you EU or US storage, because that choice is permanent.

  3. 03

    Places one line

First in <head>, above Tag Manager, never async. It knows the traps in WordPress optimisers, Shopify themes and Next.js.

  4. 04

    Checks its work

After you deploy: the tag is in the page, the domain is proven, the scan finished. Then it tells you what's left.

It will never move or edit your Tag Manager code, publish a container, remove another consent tool without asking, or deploy without your go-ahead. Read the brief it follows.

API

Setup, the banner, records and events: all API calls.

Sites, the install code, verification, scans, banner wording and design, consent records and exports, tag events and your tracker inventory. Keys are scoped, and every list tells you when it's incomplete.

  • Base URL https://app.tagsentry.ai/api/v1
  • Webhooks for new consent records, published banners and finished scans.
  • Tag Manager is read-only through the API. Changes there are approved by a person.

MCP server

Connect your assistant to your account.

Add one URL, sign in with TagSentry, pick a business and press Allow. Your assistant can then tell you if your banner is live, read your events and change the wording, and it asks before it changes anything.

  • Any project, from your terminal

Signs you in through your browser, finds your framework, adds the line, and can connect the MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code. Run it before you open your editor, and there's nothing to restart.

  • Claude Code

Run this in your terminal, start (or restart) Claude Code, then type /mcp to sign in.

  • Claude

Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, and paste the URL. Needs a paid Claude plan.

  • Cursor

    Add it to ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

  • VS Code

Add an HTTP MCP server with the URL.

  • ChatGPT

In Developer mode for now: Settings, Apps, Create, and paste the URL.

Not in the Claude or ChatGPT directories yet, so connect by URL. Disconnect any time in Settings, API keys, Connected apps.
