The short version
The short answer
Code-Cube is a serious observability tool for dataLayer, tags and conversion data, with anomaly detection on its higher plans. TagSentry covers the core of it, which events and tags fired, what shape they sent, and one email when something stops, for a fraction of the price, and it runs your consent banner too.
Where Code-Cube is better
- Depth. Anomaly detection, a debug assistant and BigQuery export are part of its higher plans. We don't detect spikes or duplicate conversions today.
- Services. Paid onboarding means a specialist helps with setup.
- Maturity in monitoring specifically, which is all it does.
Where TagSentry is better
- Price. Free up to 250,000 events a month, then $19 up to 1 million. There are no setup fees.
- Consent in the same product. The same line that monitors also runs your banner, with the right rules for each visitor's region. You can see which tags waited for consent on each visit.
- Plain alerts. One email when an event stops, and one when it recovers. Never reminders. Stops and new trackers alert on every plan; empty fields and drops in a key event are Pro.
- Works without Tag Manager. Pixels pasted straight into your theme are watched too, and for Meta, GA4 and Pinterest we name the event they sent.
Price, side by side
Prices read in September 2026. The units differ: Code-Cube counts pageviews, we count monitored events, and one pageview can produce several events. Compare on your own traffic.
| Code-Cube | TagSentry Event monitoring | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | €150 a month (500,000 pageviews) | Free to 250,000 events |
| Next | €350 (1 million pageviews) | $19 (1 million events), $49 (5 million) |
| Larger | €600 (2.5 million pageviews) | $149 (25 million events) |
| Setup | €299, plus €99 per extra domain | None |
Switching
- Create a site and choose Event monitoring.
- Connect Tag Manager and approve adding our monitoring tag, or paste our one line first in
<head>. - Pick your key events, so alerts know which ones matter most.
- Run both side by side for a week before you decide.
Questions
Does TagSentry see payload values?
No. We keep each payload's shape and types, and where it was sent. The one value we keep is a known pixel's own event name.
How long is history kept?
14 days on Free; 30, 90 or 365 days on Pro, depending on that month's usage.
