The short version

The short answer

iubenda covers a lot of ground: policies, terms, a cookie solution and a consent database, with a low entry price. It counts pageviews, and geo rules start above the entry plan. TagSentry counts decisions, gives every plan regional rules, and adds live monitoring of the tags that run after consent.

Where iubenda is better

  • Breadth for a small business. Privacy policy, terms and consent from one account, plus an accessibility add-on. We don't write policies, and our accessibility work covers our own banner only.
  • A lower yearly entry price if you pay annually and your traffic fits the cap.
  • TCF support. TagSentry doesn't offer TCF today.
  • Long history in European markets and many languages.

Where TagSentry is better

  • The unit. iubenda counts pageviews. We count decisions: a visitor answering the banner. Returning visitors with a remembered choice aren't billed, so busy sites pay for far fewer units.
  • Regional rules on every plan. Ask first in the EU, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Quebec and more. Opt-out rules in California and the other US states, with a privacy signal (GPC) honoured where required.
  • Monitoring. See every event, the tags it fired and where they sent data. One email when something stops.
  • Monthly, and you're in control. Move a site back to Free in one click. The banner keeps running.
  • EU or US storage for every site, including Free.

Switching

  1. Scan your site free to see whether your banner stops your trackers.
  2. Create a site and copy its one line.
  3. Remove iubenda's cookie solution script or plugin. You can keep its policies and link the banner to them.
  4. Paste our line first in <head>, above Tag Manager.
  5. Connect Tag Manager if you use it, and approve the plan before anything is written.

Consent records don't transfer between tools. Export iubenda's first. Visitors are asked again once.

Questions

Does TagSentry check my whole site for accessibility?

Not yet. Our banner has its own accessibility statement. Site-wide checks are on our roadmap.

Can I pay yearly?

A site moves up a level as it grows and stays there until you change it, so you always know the price.
