Removing TagSentry
How to take TagSentry off your site, and what stays behind.
Take it off your site
Delete the line from your site's header and publish. The banner, the tracker holding and event monitoring stop on the next page load.
If you used the inline snippet or the framework pieces instead, delete those.
If you connected Tag Manager
Anything we changed in your container stays there until you change it back:
- Consent settings we published are a version in your container. Publish the version from before ours to undo them.
- The monitoring template and its reporter tag stay in the container and keep sending until you delete them there.
What we keep
Consent records are kept for 24 months in the region you chose, because they're your proof of what each visitor agreed to. Nobody at TagSentry, including you, can delete them early from the app.
To close the site in TagSentry too, archive it from the dashboard, or with POST /sites/{siteId}/archive from the API. Archiving never deletes consent records: they stay for their 24 months, in their region.
